Volunteer Opportunities

  • Watch for Calls To Action – emails go out to those signed up for the newsletter,
  • Meet like-minded neighbors by attending the Dare democrats monthly meetings and your precinct meetings. Also attend a Democratic Women of Dare dinner meeting for good food and speakers.
  • Participate in the “How We Win” effort by canvassing, making phone calls, writing post cards. Details are posted on home page and on calendar
  • Participate in and help organize upcoming events – posted on home page and on calendar
  • Help with Dare Democrats organization – currently help is needed in:
    • Coordinating social media efforts with precincts’ Facebook and Instagram account owners
    • Compiling Dare Dems Newsletter (content is provided)
    • Assisting with fundraisers
    • In February and March, precincts are organizing for the year (goals, events, etc.). Your ideas are important to this effort.
  • Sync up with the NC Democratic Party – Sign up for the weekly NC Democratic party newsletter by visiting www.ncdp.org. Then post images and info onto your social media sites.
  • Election:
    • Serve as a Poll Observer. Free Poll Observer Training. Primary elections are almost here with early voting starting February 12th.  The Democratic Party needs inside and outside poll observers at every location during polling hours.  If you would like to serve as an observer or would like to know more about it before commiting, please contact Jayne Young at jfysouthafrica16@gmail.com.  We want to make sure that every voter that can cast a vote has the opportunity.  
  • Campaign:
    • Obtain campaign signs for your yard – email info@daredems.com
    • Take NC Democrats Training: Past trainings on YouTube and upcoming trainings at https://traindems.org.
    • Participate in canvassing, phone banking, and other Get Out the Vote (GOTV) activities – efforts posted on home page
    • Donate to local and NC candidates (details coming soon)
    • Attend fundraisers – posted on home page and calendar
