September Dare Democrats Meeting Will Focus on 2018

The woeful performance of the Republican Party under the leadership of President Donald Trump has put both federal and state elective positions in play, and Dare County Democrats stand ready to pitch in and make change happen. The September meeting will be a starting point.
Occupying the spotlight will be Rep. Graig Meyer, who represents constituents on the other side of I-95 in Orange and Durham Counties. He is also a member of the House Democratic Caucus Recruitment Committee and creator of the Our Shot NC initiative, a roadmap toward a Democratic victory in next year’s midterm elections.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 25, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and will be held in the Kill Devil Hills Town Hall Commissioners meeting room, located at 102 Town Hall Drive, Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Dare County has an enormous stake in the 2018 election. The retirement of Sen. Bill Cook (R) has put our district’s NC Senate seat up for grabs, and the abominable track record and contempt for the local environment of Rep. Beverly Boswell (R) has made her exit from public service a priority for Democrats in particular and environmentally-minded OBXers in general.
This and much more will be on the docket at our meeting on the 25th. The event is open to everyone. We look forward to your participation.
